Paul Boston, sales director of Novia, says some of the systems wrap providers have developed actually have not allowed the client to make full use of their tax allowances.

In a video interview with FTAdviser, Mr Boston argues that despite the scramble to secure the best rates for fund share classes, often it is the tax take which can have the most profound impact on a saver’s return.

He says: “By far the biggest thing that has an impact on client’s returns is tax. It is fundamental that wraps provide technology that allows advisers to make full use of their client’s allowances.”
