Alan Lakey will answer questions on dealing with the Financial Ombudsman Service and other issues as part of a format dubbed “Dr FOSgood’s monthly clinic.”
Mr Lakey, senior partner for Hertfordshire-based Highclere Financial Services, will take questions and write replies via the Panacea Adviser website.
He said: “The Fos rules and processes serve to confuse advisers, particularly those that thus far have had little or no interaction with them.
“Therefore with this monthly Dr FOSgood feature on the Panacea Adviser site we will be looking to provide a little clarity for those that have yet to engage with the Ombudsman and those that are currently ‘in negotiations’. We hope it will be illuminating for all concerned.”
Mr Lakey also plans to address any other adviser concerns, such as payment protection insurance misselling and the longstop.
