Zurich appoints director in UK Life business

Zurich has appointed Emma Huntington as director of marketing and workplace for its UK Life business in a newly created role by the firm.

Ms Huntington will report to the chief executive, Gary Shaughnessy, and will be a member of his executive team. She will join the company on 29 September.

In her new role, Ms Huntington will head the businesses UK Life marketing team, which will include setting the insurers marketing strategy and devising “innovative and market leading solutions”.

The firm said that this would include using the power of digital marketing and social media, and how the firm engages and interacts with its customers, incorporating its large and growing employee customer base through the workplace.

Ms Huntington currently runs her own consultancy business and has 18 years worth of experience in designing and implementing customer led strategy and innovation, mainly in the financial services sector.

She was previously the director of customer strategy and design for Australia’s largest wealth manager, AMP.
