Advisers could continue to opt for funds in the mixed investment sector in order to protect their clients from volatility, FundsNetwork’s head of advisory services has said.

Jon Everill said: “It is apparent from our latest data that, in general, advisers and their clients are continuing to diversify their holdings through funds in the mixed investment sector, and, with the recent volatility caused by the Scottish referendum, this is understandable.

“With further political uncertainty potentially to come, this trend is likely to continue,” Mr Everill added.
