Lincoln International Pensions Advisory Limited, the UK specialist pensions advisory business of Lincoln International, has been renamed Lincoln Pensions Limited.

Lincoln International said the establishment of a dedicated pensions brand within the Lincoln International group reflected its commitment to the pensions advisory market.

The change of name follows a number of developments within the business, including moving to Upper St Martin’s Lane in Covent Garden and launching a website at www.lincolnpensions.com.

Darren Redmayne, chief executive of Lincoln International and head of Lincoln Pensions, said: “With pension schemes playing an ever-greater role in UK corporate life, companies and trustees need expert covenant advice in what is an increasingly complex market. We have made significant investment in our pensions business to meet the challenge of providing proportionate, high-quality advice to stakeholders involved with schemes.”

Tony Hobman, chairman of the advisory board at Lincoln Pensions, said: “The regulatory and policy backdrop to pension provision continues to evolve at a rapid rate, with the covenant ever-more firmly placed at the heart of effective defined benefit risk management. We are extremely well placed to support our existing and potential clients in this regard.”

Colin Rodger, managing director of Glasgow-based Alexander Sloan Financial Planning, said: “Changing the name does not make it a different company. I haven’t used Lincoln in 33 years and its name change will not alter that.”
