Lloyds bolsters wealth division with senior appointments

Markus Stadlmann, the former head of discretionary investing at Barclays wealth and investment management, has joined Lloyds Banking Group’s wealth and mass affluent division as chief investment officer.

The banking group also confirmed the appointment of Simon Kenyon as managing director of wealth and mass affluent.

Mr Kenyon who takes on the role from Russell Galley, who remains chief operating officer for retail, will report into Alison Brittain, group director of retail at Lloyds.

Mr Stadlmann has held senior roles at West Lab Asset Management, VP Bank Group and Harald Quandt Holding during his 20 years in wealth and asset management.

The wealth and mass affluent business is part of retail at Lloyds, and has more than 500,000 clients.

Mr Kenyon said: “As the investments, pensions and savings markets undergo dramatic changes, Lloyds Banking Group Wealth is uniquely placed in the UK to provide wealth customers with the highest standards of support, care and advice.”
