Chapters Financial has celebrated 10 years of financial planning across West Surrey, London and Kent.

The chartered firm, which has offices in Guildford and Woking, was founded by director Keith Churchouse over what he calls a “successful and challenging” decade.

Mr Churchouse said: “When I look back to our start in 2004, the economic climate has varied dramatically, moving from prosperity to austerity and back again.

“As we celebrate our 10th anniversary in business, we all look forward to a better financial climate for businesses and individuals alike.”

He said the firm had “grown strongly in recent years, in both our individual client services and corporate work”. The firm had to expand to an additional office in Woking and has been working post-retail distribution review to deliver online financial advice, with a new site expected in December this year.

The site, which will be called www.saidso.co.uk is part of Mr Churchouse’s “planned growth strategy”, and will be expanded over the next 10 years “and beyond”, he added.

He said: “This 10-year milestone could not have been achieved without the team at Chapters Financial and the significant support from our clients, contacts and professional connections. A huge thank you to them.

“We have worked hard within the communities that we serve to ensure that we give back where we can through our business knowledge and connections. We have been honoured to share our journey with our clients and enquirers.”

Background

In 2012, Chapters Financial passed the assessment from Standards International for the ISO 22222 British Standards certification for the fifth year in a row.

In 2013, it became the 12th UK firm to obtain BS 8577. This was a new professional quality standard, launched in 2012, for the UK’s financial services industry. BS 8577 focused solely on areas of business practice, such as operational management, control of documents and records, and customer relationship management.
