Retired cricketer and MetLife Brand ambassador Andrew Strauss played in an all-star match which raised £50,000 for the Rwanda Cricket Stadium Foundation.
The charity aims to construct and manage a not-for-profit, international-standard cricket and sports centre in Kigali, Rwanda.
Former England captain Strauss joined an XI led by Brian Lara against Warwickshire’s record-setting 1994 squad. Other participants at the Wormsley cricket ground included current and past England batsmen Devon Malcolm and Matthew Hoggard, as well as female cricketer Heather Knight.
Eleven-year old spectator Dee Jarvis came on to bowl a hat-trick and win the man-of-the-match award.
