Former Miton multi-manager James Sullivan has joined RC Brown Investment Management to launch a fund division almost a year after leaving his former employer, Investment Adviser can reveal.

Mr Sullivan will run Coram Asset Management, which will be a new fund management division for RC Brown.

The manager said further details regarding the fund range and launch date would follow in coming weeks but confirmed he would be running multi-asset funds which would largely buy third party funds but also use some direct investment.

He will be joined at the outset by business development manager, Jake Lewis, who will be supporting him as the business moves closer to launching.

Investment Adviser revealed in December last year that Mr Sullivan had decided to leave Miton after more than a decade.

He had worked alongside the group’s star multi-manager Martin Gray, who himself has now left the group, for more than 10 years and was part of the founding team at Iimia in 2002 before it was later merged with Miton.

At the time, Miton said Mr Sullivan’s departure was unrelated to the reorganisation of the group following its purchase of PSigma Asset Management.

Discretionary manager RC Brown earlier this year helped launch Alpha Portfolio Management, founded by former members of Rowan Dartington Signature.

RC Brown Investment Management was established in 1990. It is an employee controlled business offering discretionary investment services through its offices in Bristol & Caterham.
