Women are more likely then men to lack confidence in the state pension, research from Prudential has found.
The study showed that 21 per cent of women – compared with 14 per cent of men – believe they will miss out on the full flat-rate state pension of £155 a week, which is due to come into effect on 6 April 2016.
To qualify for the full pension, individuals must have paid 35 years’ worth of national insurance contributions.
