Sanlam’s Paul Surguy leaves for Kleinwort Benson

Sanlam Private Investments’ head of managed funds Paul Surguy has left the firm to join Kleinwort Benson.

Mr Surguy, who authored Sanlam’s Income Study report, is set to join Kleinwort Benson on Monday to be a senior discretionary fund manager.

He had spent 14 years at Sanlam UK, which was previously known as Principal Invesment Management before being taken over and rebranded by South African firm Sanlam.

Mr Surguy had responsibility for collective investment portfolios at Sanlam with assets of £1.2bn, as well as being a member of the firm’s asset allocation committee.
