Janus Capital’s international arm has said Bill Gross’s Global Unconstrained Bond fund will now be made available to investors in Europe.

The group hired Mr Gross in a shock move in September and quickly launched the fund for him in the US.

But Janus said Mr Gross’s expertise would now be available to European investors via is Janus Capital Funds range.

President of Janus Capital International, Augustus Cheh, said Mr Gross’s fund could be “considered to be a key component to any client portfolio given the interest rate environment”.

Mr Cheh said Mr Gross’s style complemented that of fixed income chief Gibson Smith.

The fund seeks absolute returns and can actively manage the fund’s sensitivity to rises in interest rates, which is known as duration.
