Intelliflo has appointed Hamish Purdey as its new chief executive, with incumbent Nick Eatock moving up to the role of executive chairman effective from the start of this week (17 November).

Mr Purdey was most recently chief executive financial services software provider Ffastfill from 2009 to 2013, when he grew the firm from a market capitalisation of £28m to £110m.

“I have huge admiration for Nick’s leadership and how he and his team have developed Intelliflo into a major force in software services that operate at the heart of the UK’s financial advice sector,” he added.

Founder and former chief executive Mr Eatock will continue to play a central role in client engagement, whilst also focussing on the strategic direction of the firm.

He commented that there are huge strategic and product opportunities currently available to Intelliflo which require his focus.

“To allow me to do this effectively the business requires a strong operator to focus on the core operational areas. Having met with many potential candidates over the summer, it was clear that Hamish is ideal for the role.”

Intelliflo’s Intelligent Office product has 11,250 users from 1,250 firms, with assets under advice of £172bn.
