Former Ignis manager Diamond Lee has joined rival Old Mutual Global Investors to work in its Asian equities team.

Mr Lee will initially work for the group in London and then move to Hong Kong to work for the group’s Asian Pacific business.

He will report to Josh Crabb, the group’s head of Asian equities recently hired from BlackRock - a hire revealed by Investment Adviser.

Mr Crabb said the move to hire Mr Lee showed the group’s “ongoing commitment to the region”.

Mr Lee has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry.

His Ignis China fund delivered 111.1 per cent during his tenure from May 2006 until August this year, less than the MSCI Zhong Hua index’s 132 per cent, according to data from FE Analytics.
