Aviva Investors hires ex-Swip CIO

Aviva Investors has hired former Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (Swip) director Mark Connolly as chief investment officer of fixed income.

Mr Connolly will be in charge of developing and implementing the asset manager’s fixed income strategies. He will also join the Aviva Investors executive committee and report to chief executive Euan Munro.

Previously director and head of fixed income at Swip, Mr Connolly left the asset manager after it merged with Aberdeen.

Jean-François Boulier, who had been chief investment officer of fixed income will continue as chief executive in France.
