Jupiter has expanded Kevin Scott’s role to include the UK, replacing the void left by Simon Hynes, who quit the firm in July.

Mr Scott has been appointed as head of client coverage for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), meaning he will now be responsible for the UK as well as the rest of EMEA.

Before this, Mr Scott, who has been with the firm since 2006, was responsible for EMEA (ex-UK sales).

The asset manager has been without a leader of UK sales since Mr Hynes left the firm to take a sabbatical. Mr Hynes was promoted to head of distribution in Feburary and had previously been head of client coverage for the UK.

Maarten Slenderbroek, Jupiter chief executive. said: “Kevin has established himself as a leading member of the sales team, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of our business and the broader fund management industry.

“His knowledge and leadership skills will play a major part of Jupiter’s future sales success in our domestic market and the rest of the EMEA region.”
