Former Grant Thornton regional head Simon Turner has been appointed as director of business planning at national IFA, pensions and employee benefits consultancy LEBC Group

Previously regional head of financial planning for the northern region for Grant Thornton, Mr Turner is a chartered and certified financial planner with over 25 years experience in financial services.

Jeremy Macleod, chief operating officer at LEBC said he has experience of working with the complex and technically challenging areas of financial planning both in the private client and corporate arena.

“This appointment shows a real commitment to recruiting at a senior level to help with the development of the business and we are always looking to strengthen the management team further.

“Our recruitment ambitions are also focused on developing and helping young talent to evolve and in the past 12 months we are really proud our consultant numbers have increased by 20 per cent.”

Earlier in the autumn, the national advisory firm, which is part of TenetConnect, announced it was seeking to attract additional qualified advisers and para planners in all locations over the next year to cater for an uplift in the firm’s business levels.
