Impax assets increase to £2.9bn

Impax Asset Management, the environmental markets and resource efficiency investment specialist, has reported an increase in its assets of £170m to bring its total to £2.9bn.

The company recorded £53m of net inflows into its third party listed equity funds and accounts, mainly from investors in the US and continental Europe, which helped boost the assets held in that part of the business to £2bn. Meanwhile its Impax label listed equity funds saw total assets increase to £534m, with the remainder residing within its private equity and property funds.

In a broker note Peel Hunt stated the update for the three months to December 31 2014 indicated that Impax continues to benefit from good momentum behind the business.

It added: “Encouragingly, the business continues to build traction in the US which is an increasingly important source of new business.”
