Ascentric rolls out new charging structure

Ascentric have launched a new inclusive charging structure designed to give advisers additional choice and flexibility for their clients.

The new charge is a flat 0.3 per cent up to £1m and 0.1 per cent for additional assets over £1m.

The standard charge is 0.25 per cent plus trading. Trading costs were £12.50, but are now £9.50 as a result of this change.

It includes all fund trades and where a client holds assets in model portfolios it includes exchange traded instrument trades. It excludes individual ETI trades and wrapper charges.

Jon Taylor, managing director of Ascentric, said that the new structure will operate alongside the existing standard charging structure, giving advisers the flexibility to select the most appropriate charging option for their client base.

The platform is also lowering other charges, with the Ascentric Pension Account getting a reduced administration charge of £100 - down from £150 - and the APA Drawdown annual charge now only being levied once a year, instead of each time a withdrawal is made.
