Cocoon Wealth, the private investment specialist, is in the final stage of hosting a series of estate planning masterclasses for advisers across the UK.

There will be 11 seminars in total, designed to offer technical insights to help advisers ensure that their clients receive holistic advice and understand the best available solutions to tackle their exposure to inheritance tax.

The use of trusts, gifts, business property relief, options for pensions from April and other innovative planning options will be explored at the meetings.

The masterclasses will be hosted in conjunction with Technical Connection and established wrap operator Novia, and will feature a presentation from John Woolle, Technical Connection’s pension and taxation expert.

Glen Stewart, partner at Cocoon Wealth, said: “Demand for our seminars has exceeded all expectations, which indicates just how receptive the adviser community is to understanding more about the complexities of estate planning.

“It’s little wonder advisers are searching for greater insight as the number of people in the UK affected by IHT is growing rapidly thanks to the continued escalation of house prices, and the freeze in the nil-rate band.

“Our experts will ensure advisers know how to help their clients plan ahead and reduce their IHT liability.”

The masterclasses will conclude on 10 February in Guildford, Surrey.
