F&TRC updates research tool to include business protection

F&TRC has updated its research tool with a range of business protection products to it, including relevant life.

The research company’s Quality Analyser is a free service for advisers and employee benefits consultants to help them make informed provider selections based on individual client requirements.

As a result of the of additions, advisers will now be able to run both business protection and relevant life product comparisons, including product features such as plan options, exclusions, guaranteed insurability options and financial underwriting limits.

Providers listed for business protection comparisons currently include: Legal and General, Scottish Provident, Ageas Protect, Aegon, Bright Grey and Pruprotect.

Adam Higgs, head of research for adviser services at F&TRC, said that following the tool’s launch last year, there are plans to continue expanding the service with additional products and features.

“Business protection is a growing area of the market and we are pleased to make it easier for advisers to quickly compare the products available to them.”

Roy McLoughlin, IFA at London-based Master Adviser, confirmed that business protection and relevant life are growing areas of interest amongst protection advisers.

“With more products becoming available it is great news that advisers can use this system to quickly compare these products across a range of areas as defined by the adviser for the client.”
