Invesco Perpetual has promoted a deputy manager to help out Paul Causer and Paul Read on its High Yield fund.
The firm said Asad Bhatti has been promoted from senior analyst due to his contribution to the fixed income team “for more than a decade”.
Mr Bhatti had joined Invesco in 2002 as a fixed interest credit analyst and the firm said he had “played a key role in generating investment ideas and opportunities for the Invesco Perpetual fixed interest funds”.
The Invesco Perpetual High Yield fund is the best-performing fund in the IA High Yield sector in three-, five- and 10-year time frames.
It has delivered a total return of 65.6 per cent in the past five years compared to a sector average of 39.8 per cent, according to data from FE Analytics.
