Zurich launches retirement planning tool for advisers

Zurich has partnered with Evalue to upgrade its adviser retirement planning tool in time for the April at-retirement reforms.

Initially the Pension Freedom Planner will only be available to advisers using the Zurich platform initially, free of charge.

Advisers can use cash flow modelling to create the most appropriate retirement solution for their clients, and has been developed to complement the existing range of support tools in the platform’s existing Advisa Centa.

Zurich said that the tool uses ‘what if’ and ‘so what’ scenarios to illustrate the impact of different choices to help customers decide on the most appropriate solution.

It also allows advisers to blend different product strategies, such as combining income drawdown with an annuity.

Other features include multiple option forecasting, joint or single customer forecasts and easily adapted customer scenarios making savings options as simple or detailed as they wish.

Alistair Wilson, head of platform retail strategy, said it has been designed to help support advisers in the conversations they need to have with their customers who are approaching retirement.

“The need for advice in the run up to April has never been more important, which is why we have developed a range of tools and support to help advisers deliver the best possible service.”
