Succession appoints group operating director

Succession Holdings has appointed a group operating director for its national wealth management advisor to help support its goal of acquiring and integrating the best 50 firms from its membership by 2017.

James Stevenson will join Succession Group in April to lead the integration of acquired member firms towards getting to £7bn in assets under management.

He joins from Sesame Bankhall Group, where as director of adviser technology propositions, was responsible for delivering IT solutions to meet the needs of clients.

Mr Stevenson will now oversee the integration of acquired businesses, with particular emphasis on the consolidation of back office systems and operational performance.

He will join the firm’s executive committee and will report to group chief executive Simon Chamberlain.

Mr Stevenson said: “Succession Group’s innovative approach to acquisition has been one of the most exciting developments to hit the industry in a long time and will reshape the dynamics of financial services.”
