Harlequin puts headquarters up for sale

Overseas property group Harlequin has put its Basildon headquarters up for sale.

The SFO is currently investigating the Harlequin Group over the marketing, sale and construction of luxury off-plan property developments in the Caribbean, in which a number of people invested.

A spokesman for Harlequin said: “Harlequin owns its Basildon offices and occupies the first floor of Unit 11, with all other space let to third parties.

“Harlequin is attempting to sell in order to discharge its liability and remove its responsibilities as a lessor.

“As a condition of sale, Harlequin is seeking a leaseback option for the office space it currently occupies.”

The two-story property, on the Honywood Business Park, is on the market for £525,000.

It has been listed on property website Rightmove and is described as “impressive”
