Another blow for Russell Brand - all this exhortation to youngsters to boycott the election means they may not be able to get a mobile phone contract.

USwitch has said that a quarter of 18 to 34 year olds have no idea that being registered to vote affects their credit rating, and that no registration may prevent them from getting a mobile phone contract, buying a house or applying for a credit card.

But then no one said Brand was being responsible in his mission.
