Artemis co-founder Tyndall to step down as senior partner

Artemis co-founder Mark Tyndall is set to step down as senior partner at the end of the year.

Mr Tyndall helped to set up the asset management firm in 1997 but has decided to semi-retire to spend more time on charity work and with his family.

John Dodd, another co-founder, will take on the role of chairman and Mark Murray, who joined the firm in 1997 and became chief operating officer in 2001, will be appointed as senior partner.

Mr Tyndall will retain his stake in the business, as well as his stakes in Artemis’ funds, and will remain on the firm’s management committee as a non-executive director.

A spokesperson for Artemis said the reshuffle at the management level would not change the way in which the business or any of the funds are run.
