Ian Tabberer departs Baillie Gifford

Ian Tabberer, co-manager of the £493.4m Baillie Gifford American fund, has left the group.

Mr Tabberer, a former Scottish Widows Investment Partnership manager, has run the American fund since June 2013 and been with Baillie Gifford for seven years.

The fund will continue to be managed by fellow co-manager Gary Robinson who will be joined by Helen Xiong as joint manager and assisted by Andrei Kiselev who joins the American team from the Global Opportunities team.

The fund has narrowly outperformed its peer group average in the past five years, with the fund’s A share class returning 84.4 per cent, while the IA North America sector has returned an average 83.2 per cent in the same period, according to the fund’s factsheet.
