Key Retirement hires retirement options leader

Key Retirement has boosted its new retirement options service with the appointment of Kevin Stelfox as director of retirement options and wealth management.

He was previously director of specialist adviser Retirement Solutions, and brings more than 20 years’ experience in pension planning.

Previously, he has also held senior management positions at Annuity Supermarket, Personal Touch Finance and Aviva.

Mr Stelfox’s role is to drive the expansion of the retirement service, which launched in February, providing a free personalised report for customers outlining their options and highlighting the risks and relevance.

Colin Taylor, chief executive at the wider KR Group, commented that his expertise and experience will be a major asset in delivering the service for customers.

The group is building to be a major provider in the sector, backed by private equity investor Phoenix Equity Partners, who bought a majority stake in 2013 for £35m.
