Standard Life Wealth hires head of operations

Standard Life Wealth has appointed Andy Brodie as its new head of operations.

Based in London, he will manage the discretionary fund manager’s operations function and third party suppliers.

Mr Brodie will be part of the leadership team and will report to chief executive Richard Charnock.

Having previously worked as a director with Barclays in the wealth and investment management sector as its head of UK and Western Europe, he also brings with him cross-industry experience with O2 and Sky.

Mr Charnock commented that the new hire’s direct wealth management capabilities, combined with cross industry expertise, will be an asset to the business and important in its strategic development.

“We have ambitious plans to grow the business and Andy will be instrumental in delivering an operations and platform strategy to support our future growth.”

Previous head of operations, Karen Storie, has moved to become head of business management, responsible for change delivery and a range of strategic transformation projects at Standard Life Wealth.
