Mortgage network makes double hire

The Right Mortgage and Protection Network has appointed a new compliance director and national accounts manager.

Gavin Earnshaw, former head of compliance at Pink Network, is set to join as compliance director on the 29 July, while Heddwyn Richards, former head of development at HL Partnership, has been appointed as national accounts manager.

Mr Earnshaw has also held senior roles at Mortgage Force and most recently, Castle Trust, while Mr Richards helped set up PMP Network and later became part of the senior management team at Honister.

The network stated that these are the first of several high profile appointments to be announced, with managing director Martin Wilson stating of Mr Earnshaw that it is an “incredibly important role” and he will help to provide a robust but sensible infrastructure for members to work within.

Mr Earnshaw commented that networks have fallen into an over-automated, tick box mentality, so his aim is to understand businesses at a more individual level, avoiding a ‘one size fits all’ approach to compliance.

Meanwhile, Mr Wilson said of Mr Richards that his experience will be key in continuing to improve the proposition for brokers.

“We share the same goal of not only growing our network, but doing so in a way that maintains personal relationships with our advisers and ensures that their businesses grow too.”
