London-based Morgans Independent Financial Advisers has become the latest adviser firm to implement the wealth management solution provided by Australian software company IRESS.

Called XPlan, the solution offers a range of integrated wealth management software tools tailored to the UK marketplace, including a portfolio management system which offers automatic valuations, portfolio modelling and fund analysis.

Other features include remuneration management tools and a client relationship management module which manages client information, annual reviews, activities and workflows.

The adviser will also have access to XTools modules, a suite of calculators designed to help planners demonstrate concepts visually to clients.

IRESS said it has attracted more than 500 new users of the XPlan solution since the start of the year.

Morgans operations director Steve Goodwin said: “Implementing this solution marks a significant step forward for our firm, and will underpin our ability to provide the best service and advice for our customers.

“One of our key goals to support our business growth is to make sure our data integrity is as high as possible, and XPlan will be vital in achieving this.

“We’re confident that the solution’s functionality will boost our bottom line, and we are looking forward to building a long-term relationship with Iress.”

Mark Loosmore, executive general manager (wealth), at Iress, said: “We are committed to providing and implementing the solutions that match the diverse and evolving needs of wealth and advice companies, whatever their size or structure.”

Adviser view

Ben Sear, financial adviser and managing partner at Leicestershire-based Martin Redman Partners, said: “Technology has come to the fore in financial services. There are efficiencies to be gained. Technology does not mean face-to-face advice and a personal service will diminish. It will help advisers enhance communication with their clients and help them to deliver a better level of service.”
