Invesco Perpetual adds new manager to bond fund

Jack Parker has been appointed deputy fund manager on the Invesco Perpetual Global Bond fund.

As of July 31 Mr Parker will work alongside the current manager Stuart Edwards on the £423.4m Global Bond fund.

The fund has performed well in the past year, returning 2.9 per cent, compared to the IA Global Bonds sector, which returned 1.9 per cent, according to the fund’s June factsheet.

Mr Parker will also become a deputy fund manager on three offshore bond funds. He will work alongside Paul Causer and Paul Read on the Invesco Global Bond fund, the Invesco Global Total Return Bond fund and the Global Unconstrained Bond fund.

Mr Parker has been at Invesco Perpetual since January 2008 where he began in the investment operations functions team. He transferred to the fixed interest team in August 2010 and his latest role was as a macro analyst and trader.
