Brown Shipley’s head of private banking exits

Brown Shipley’s head of private banking Hugh Titcomb is set to step down from his position at the end of September and will leave the business.

He also serves as a non-executive chairman of the Harpenden Building Society and intends to focus on that position, as well as progressing a number of other business and personal interests.

Mr Titcomb commented that he was pleased to have played a role in the firm’s ongoing development, including the recent acquisition of Hampton Dean.

He said: “I do believe the business is very well placed to take advantage of the significant opportunities which exist within the wealth management sector and wish my colleagues every success in the future.”

He joined the firm in January 2014, having previously been vice chairman and group chief executive at Sanlam Private Investments UK.

A spokesperson stated that there are no immediate plans to replace Mr Titcomb, as the existing management team can assume the various parts of his skillset.

Ian Sackfield, Brown Shipley’s chief executive, added: “We have a strong senior management team in place to continue the development of the business.”
