EdenTree Investment Management has recruited RWC Partners manager Philip Harris to run its UK Equity Growth fund.
Mr Harris was a UK small- and mid-cap companies fund manager at RWC, having joined from Hermes when RWC acquired the latter’s activist ‘Focus’ division in 2012.
At EdenTree he will run the £204m UK Equity Growth fund, a multi-cap portfolio with a small-cap bias.
The portfolio has delivered a 63.2 per cent three-year return, according to FE Trustnet, compared to a 36.9 per cent average for the Investment Association’s UK All Companies sector.
Prior to RWC, Mr Harris had managed the Specialist UK Focus fund during his 11 years at Hermes, and has also held positions at Credit Suisse Asset Management and Threadneedle Investments.
Ecclesiastical Investment Management rebranded as EdenTree on July 6.
