Roger Edwards joins Protection Review

Protection Review, the independent protection consultancy established in 2003 by co-chairmen Peter Le Beau and Andy Couchman, has appointed Roger Edwards as its marketing director.

He made his name in roles as managing director of Bright Grey and Scottish Provident, before leaving in 2013 after 12 years as part of a restructure.

More recently Mr Edwards has worked as director of Make Sense Partners and managing director of Roger Edwards Marketing.

His appointment brings the Protection Review team up to six people, alongside Kevin Carr, Jo Miller and Frances Delhoy; with no changes planned to their existing roles.

Chief executive Mr Carr said of Mr Edwards that he has played a pivotal role in the shaping of the UK protection insurance industry over the last 20 years.

Mr Edwards will begin in the role at the start of January.

He said: “These are exciting times for the protection insurance market with several new providers coming into the sector alongside a growing focus on digital technology and how it can improve the customer experience.”
