Odey and Parbrook invest in Turcan Connell

Industry heavyweights Crispin Odey and Robin Parbrook have become external investors in Turcan Connell Asset Management as part of a management buyout.

Mr Parbrook, Schroders’ head of Asia ex Japan equities, and Mr Odey, founder of Odey Asset Management, have been announced as incoming investors alongside current and former partners in the firm.

The business, which will now trade under the name Tcam, said it would be owned by the two current executive directors, Alex Montgomery and Haig Bathgate, and a group of the firm’s partners and former partners, as well as the external investors.

The new structure is expected to come into effect in November, subject to regulatory approval.
