Canada Life’s RedArc users rate the service

Advertorial

When a claim is submitted the individual is automatically offered free access to RedArc services, whatever the cause of the claim and irrespective of whether or not the claim is accepted.

Since the launch of the service alongside Canada Life’s Group Critical Illness protection in 2011, usage has increased by 600%, with 94% of all claimants referred to RedArc for support in 2014.

In the same period the number of people the RedArc nurse adviser has recommended for onward referral and additional support (such as complementary therapies, physiotherapy, oncology nurse assistance etc.) has increased 9 fold.

Paul Avis, Marketing Director, Canada Life Group Insurance commented on the findings: “As an insurer we strongly believe that our responsibility to the employees of our policyholders should go beyond the provision of a financial benefit.

“The RedArc survey results show what an amazing job can be done for claimants when they are facing a significant change in their life circumstances.

“Clearly the individuals who engage with RedArc really value the support they are offered on a practical and emotional level. The findings show that 97% believe this support enhanced their view of their employer’s scheme.

“This is something for employers to keep in mind when considering the worth of the employee benefit packages they provide.

“Having renewed our contract with RedArc in October 2014, we are delighted to see that, once again, the survey results record a very high level of customer satisfaction and our take up rate further reinforces the value of this service.

“With clinical diagnosis certainty provided by Best Doctors and the recently added Treatment Sourcing Service (TSS) available from Medical Care Direct, we believe that our Group Critical Illness policies offer a range of non-financial benefits to policyholders and their employees. We urge all advisers and employers to promote these services wherever possible.”

Christine Husbands, Managing Director, RedArc commented on the findings: “As our relationship with Canada Life Group insurance hits its four year anniversary later in the year, we are delighted to be working with an insurer so committed to the promotion of additional benefits.

“We are particularly pleased with the increased volumes of referrals coming through, allowing us to help more people at a time when they are particularly vulnerable. Our nurse advisers are very dedicated and completely committed to offering the best possible support.

“This is evidenced by the high level of satisfaction from Canada Life insured employees.

“Like us, Canada Life have a genuine passion for employee health and support in troubled times. To be able to record results such as these is really heartening and reinforces the great work we do together.”
