Investec hires new intermediary distribution head

Investec Structured Products has appointed Colin Brockman as its new head of intermediary distribution.

He was the national accounts and third parties manager for the firm, having joined from Prudential where he worked latterly in the investment development intermediary sales team, having also had roles in account management and regional and national account management.

Prior to this, Mr Brockman was an adviser for a national brokerage within the South East region.

The appointment follows head of intermediary sales Gary Dale leaving last month to join Old Mutual as head of UK sales.

Anant Patel, head of structured equity derivatives at Investec, said he was confident that Mr Brockman will lead the distribution team “extremely well”.

Mr Brockman added that the firm has come to be renowned for well formulated and timely products, including the recently introduced Retirement Income Deposit Plan and the popular Defensive Kick-Out Plan.

“I will be working with the team and IFA partners to develop successful investment options for our customers.”
