BMO launches nine ETFs for UK investors

BMO Global Asset Management has launched nine exchange-traded funds (ETFs) focusing on a mixture of equity and fixed income asset classes.

Listed on the London Stock Exchange, the range includes five equity ETFs tracking indices developed by BMO in conjunction with index provider MSCI. The indices screen for quality companies with higher than average dividend yields.

The equity range, which focus on US, Europe ex-UK and UK income stocks as well as two sterling-hedged versions, have ongoing charges figures (OCFs) of between 0.35 and 0.40 per cent

The fund house is also launching four fixed income ETFs. BMO said three global corporate bond products would invest across a range of maturities, allowing investors to position their investments across the yield curve and take their own view on interest rates.

The fourth will focus on high yield, and will track the Barclays Very Liquid Index, a subset of the Barclays Global Aggregate Bond Index.

The high yield offering will have an OCF of 0.35 per cent, with the 1-3 year, 3-7 year 7-10 year global corporate bond products each charging 0.3 per cent.

BMO GAM head of ETFs Kevin Gopaul said the fixed income products were the first to offer investors a specific range of maturity bands.
