Aviva Investors boosts multi strategy team

Aviva Investors has bolstered the team focusing on its multi strategy portfolios as it looks to further develop the range.

Ahmed Behdenna has joined the team as a senior multi-asset strategist, focusing on the generation of investment ideas, while Marc Semaan takes the role of multi-asset strategist and will focus on cross-market macro strategy ideas.

Mr Behdenna was previously a senior strategist within Societe Generale’s multi-asset research team.

Mr Semaan joins the team after previously working for Friends Life Investments, now part of Aviva. He worked as a macro strategist and developed a global marco research structure to support the fixed income teams.

The news follows the appointment of Michael Grady to the team as a senior economist and strategist.

Mr Grady previously worked for global macro hedge fund Comac Capital, where he was responsible for the fundamental analysis used to inform the investment process.

Ian Pizer, Aviva Investors’ head of strategy, said: “Ahmed and Marc bring a wealth of experience in multi-asset strategy and analysis, which will be highly beneficial as we continue to develop the Aviva Investors Multi Strategy fund range and our capabilities across multi-asset investing.”
