Newcastle updates system for faster mortgage applications

Newcastle Intermediaries has updated its online systems to will allow a more streamlined mortgage application process for brokers via a new document upload and intelligent case programme.

These should reduce wait times for brokers to get responses back on their client applications, so rather than having to send all supporting documentation in the post, brokers can now upload these online and send directly to Newcastle Intermediaries.

Meanwhile, the ‘intelligent case update’ programme quickly identifies and informs brokers if their application is missing key information.

Steven Marks, corporate development executive at the building society, explained that last year they launched an online registration and decision in principle facility, while earlier this year an online application system was introduced.

“We listen to what our brokers say is most important to them within their role and we look to make developments in this area to enable our work together to be as efficient and effective as possible,” he added.
