Aberdeen multi-manager head Harries exits

Aberdeen Asset Management’s head of multi-manager Mark Harries is leaving the business, with manager research head Simon Wood and multi-asset director Graham Duce taking over the firm’s multi-manager portfolios.

Mr Harries took on the role after Aberdeen acquired Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (Swip) in 2014.

An Aberdeen spokesman said: “Following the successful integration of the Swip Investment Solutions team into the Aberdeen business, Mark Harries is leaving the business.

“Simon Wood, head of manager research, and Graham Duce, director, multi-asset, who worked alongside Mark, will continue to manage the Aberdeen multi-manager portfolios supported by a 14-strong investment team.

“Mark played an important role in the integration of the two business and he leaves Aberdeen with our best wishes for the future.”

The combined team is responsible for managing client investments of around £15bn in unfettered mandates.
