Sipp provider embarks on expansion with name change

Self-invested personal pension provider Hornbuckle has established a new name for its legal entity, as it looks to form more partnerships with businesses like Nutmeg.

A spokeswoman for the Leicester-based firm said the legal entity, Hornbuckle Mitchell Group Limited, which provides pension administration services to all Hornbuckle branded products, will now be called Embark Services Limited.

This change legally took effect on 15 January. The firm was keen to stress that the new name will not impact policyholders, advisers or suppliers.

“Our business activities will continue to operate under the trading name of Hornbuckle, however our product literature and operational communications to each party will reflect the change going forward at the earliest practicable point,” said a spokeswoman.

She added that the name change is part of its strategy to broaden its services, which includes providing corporate services to a range of other market brands.

“As per our relationship with Nutmeg, we are developing partnerships to deliver new administration technology to service pension trustee and white-labelled administration. We will deliver this to a range of brands in the advisory space and beyond.”
