Man GLG has hired HSBC Global Asset Management (HSBC Gam) emerging market debt manager (EMD) Guillermo Osses to head its own EMD team.
Mr Osses joined HSBC Gam from Pimco in 2011 after five years at the Allianz subsidiary.
His arrival marks the latest expansion in Man GLG’s fixed income business following its acquisition of leveraged loan manager Silvermine last January.
Man GLG co-chief executive Teun Johnston said: “[Mr Osses] has extensive experience in investment management and a distinctive investment process, alongside a proven track record of investing and managing investment teams in the emerging markets fixed income space.
“As head of emerging market debt strategies, Guillermo will be instrumental in broadening our capabilities in the fixed income space and enhancing our client offering.”
