Ex-OMGI bond head Cowley joins Avellemy

Former Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) fixed income head Stewart Cowley has taken up a role with Bellpenny’s sister company Avellemy.

Mr Cowley, who left OMGI in June 2015, joins the company as chairman of its investment committee.

Avellemy provides risk-targeted portfolios and currently has around £165m in assets under management.

The appointment will see Mr Cowley chairing quarterly investment meetings and implementing strategies to drive “efficiencies” in Avellemy’s portfolios.

Steven Lloyd, head of Avellemy, said: “He is a well-known and respected individual within the investment world, who brings with him a wealth of independent experience to add to the already extensive portfolio of knowledge within the committee.”
