Kames’ Milburn not expected back until H2 2016

Kames Capital’s Phil Milburn is expected to resume his responsibilities at the fund house in the second half of 2016 after an absence due to ill health.

A Kames spokesperson said Mr Milburn, co-manager of the £1.5bn High Yield Bond fund, was “making steady progress” and would return to work on a phased basis in the second half, based on his current pace of improvement.

The manager, who also works on the firm’s High Yield Global Bond, Strategic Bond and Strategic Global Bond portfolios, was originally signed off work last September until early 2016.

Mr Milburn is recovering from post-viral fatigue syndrome following a bout of glandular fever around 10 years ago.
