Tugwell leaves Virgin Money

Virgin Money’s director of intermediary sales Richard Tugwell will leave the company later this year.

The company said he wanted to seek “a new career challenge”, adding “this was entirely Richard’s decision and he will be missed”.

Virgin Money also thanked him for his commitment in developing the intermediary business over the last 30 years.

Meanwhile, David Buxton has joined the team as director of intermediary field sales and John Truswell will continue in his role as head of national accounts.

They will both report to Peter Rogerson, Virgin Money’s commercial director for mortgages and savings.

The statement added: “We look forward to continuing to work with each of our intermediary partners to strengthen our proposition and support our common goals and ambitions.”

Mr Tugwell had previously been head of sales at Northern Rock.
