UBS AM lists sterling-hedged ‘smart beta’ ETFs

UBS Asset Management has listed eight currency-hedged versions of its alternative beta exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

The ETFs have tilts to factors including low volatility, value and quality in both US and eurozone stocks, and now offer built-in sterling hedging.

The original factor ETFs were launched late last year and track their benchmarks through physical replication.

Andrew Walsh, head of UBS ETF sales for the UK and Ireland, said: “Our investors here in the UK will now be able to access specific targeted factor risk-premia in the US and eurozone equity markets whilst managing currency risk.”
