European asset manager Candriam Investors has made two senior hires as it seeks to beef up its UK presence.
The firm, which is owned by New York Life Investment Management and was previously known as Dexia Asset Management, has hired Chris Davies as head of UK distribution and Derek Brander as head of UK wholesale.
Mr Davies previously spent 11 years working for Fidelity, in roles including head of Fidelity Wealth.
Mr Brander, meanwhile, most recently worked at Natixis Asset Management.
Both will be based in London as part of their new roles.
Renato Guerriero, Candriam’s global head of EMEA client relations, said: “In 2015, Candriam started an active European distribution push and the addition of two very senior and reputable investment professionals to our UK team represents a major milestone.”
